1. Introduction
---------------

Super Mario Bros. Gold Edition is a compilation of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels including features from both games, but also new features as well. This is also a respond/tribute hack to Shane M.'s "Super Mario Bros.: Double Trouble" FDS hack.


2. Gameplay
-----------

This game is set in a parallel dream, where our plumbers have two different, but similar dreams, that's why the game has side A and side B. Side A has only 7 worlds due to avoiding the lots of recurring levels (with 1 exception), Side B has 7 worlds and +1 bonus world.


Side A:

Released: February 2, 2018

You play as Mario. This part of the game replaces the 1UP mushroom with poison mushroom, so you must get 1 extra life by collecting more and more coins. Warp zones can only be found in the last world, which takes you back to the previous 3 worlds. Task is to rescue Toadstool from Bowser. Bowser uses hammer in World 7.

Bowser's true character:
- World 1 -> Goomba
- World 2 -> Green Koopa Troopa
- World 3 -> Buzzy Beetle
- World 4 -> Spiny
- World 5 -> Lakitu
- World 6 -> Blooper
- World 7 -> Bowser


Side B:

Released: February 22, 2018

You play as Luigi. In the game, you can now collect 1UP mushrooms again to get an extra life along with getting 100 coins. Warp zones can be found in World 4-1, which takes you to the next 3 worlds. Last, but not least he can shoot fireballs during ducking (unlike Mario). Task is to rescue Toadstool from Bowser. Bowser Ghost uses hammer in World 8.

Side C (BONUS):
You play as Kevin, who is the lost brother of Mario and Luigi. He was once Bowser's hostage in the castle for years, but thanks to his speed, he has managed to escape from his clutches. Success! Now he is ready to showdown... (COMING SOON!)
