Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
Game & Watch Gallery 4 Ghosting Removal Patch ______________________________________________________________________________ This is a simple patch that removes the ‘LCD ghosting’ effect from the Classic Mode games. The ghosting, while ‘nostalgic’, can distract from gameplay, makes it difficult to tell what’s going on in some games, and obscures many of the detailed backgrounds. Anyone who’s played a real Game & Watch game knows that there is no ghosting if you hold it at the correct angle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The first release was labeled as version "0.9" because it was still a bit unfinished due to my limited skillset with hacking GBA games. But another hacker, Asaki, stepped up to help and now it's just about perfect. Changes in 1.0: Rain Shower - Score counter, miss counter, and difficulty ghosting removed. Chef - All ghosting removed. Mario Bros. - Score counter, miss counter ghosting removed. Fire Attack - Score counter ghosting removed. Donkey Kong Jr. - Fixed Mario and the cage chain being invisible. *I would like to note that Mario's Cement Factory is missing the word 'MISS' under its miss counter, but that's actually a pre-existing bug in G&W4 itself. The ghosted graphics are there, but it never lights up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Patching Instructions: You should probably know this by now if you're on romhacking.net, but use an IPS patcher such as LunarIPS to apply the included patch to a clean Game & Watch Gallery 4 ROM. The one I used was named "Game & Watch Gallery 4 (USA).gba" from a no-intro set, but "1315 - Game & Watch Gallery 4 (U).gba" will probably work too. DO NOT use the European "Game & Watch Gallery Advance" version. It won't work. I may make an EU version of the patch some day, but for now you can simply transfer your EU save file over to the US version. ______________________________________________________________________________ I hope you find this useful.
