FE6 - Rising Wind Beschreibung

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

(That says "FE6 - Rising Wind", if your text box isn't wide enough or isn't working right for some reason.)

This mod was created by RojinShiro. It should never be distributed for money.

To report any bugs found while playing this mod, please report them to u/RojinShiro on Reddit via Direct Message.

No$GBA is the emulator I recommend for Windows users, though VBA works just fine, if you prefer that. John GBAC is recommended for Android users, period.

Thanks to u/SubwayBossEmmett for beta testing the old version and giving general input on the mod.

This readme is an important part of understanding the mod, especially in conjunction with the changelog. There are over 90 changes that I made, and you need to be aware of most of them. This document summarizes those changes below, and marks them with the numbers in the changelog where they're from, so you can look up more specific info, if need be. Note that this is the ABRIDGED version, despite how long it looks. Take the time to at least read this version. Please.

Items in {curly brackets} are obsolete in the latest update.

2. No Fog of War.

3-55, 59-61, 77. Every playable character gets stat changes.

57. Faster supports for everybody.

58, 60, 61. Wendy's base class changes to soldier. She still promotes to General.

89. Changed Milady's name to Melody.

74-82. Made Gale recruitable by Melody. The three wyvern riders now have a triangle attack, and the three Ostian knights do NOT have a triangle attack.

72, 81-83, 92. Made new Supports and Support Convos. The details for who pairs with who can be found at 82 and 83. Everybody has one new Support partner, except Roy and Lilina, who were maxed on possible support partners, Gale, who has five support partners due to being a new addition, and Merlinus, who now has two support partners.

91. Removed the majority of Enemy-Turn Reinforcements. For details, see note 91 in the changelog.

62-66, 68-70, 84-86, 94, 95. Item changes: Short bow has 1-2 range; Legendary Weapons, Divinestone, and Saint's Staff get more uses; everything has descriptions; Knight Crest {is now the Vassal Badge and} can also promote Soldiers {and Thieves}; horse-killers are now effective against all horse units; the torch staff was changed into the new Blessing staff; the torch (item) was changed into the new Habilitate staff; a stealable guiding ring was added to Chapter 17.

67-70, 87. Thieves now promote into Firebrands, {which are visually identical to unpromoted thieves.} Only Firebrands get the 100% item find ability on the Arcadia map, unpromoted thieves have the normal find rate. {Two additional Vassal Badges were added, one in Barth's inventory, and one in Cath's on the Western Isle castle map.}

--What's new in 1.1--

95. I added a guiding ring to Chapter 17B. In version 1.0 I accidentally only added one to 17A.

96. Weapon triangle advantage is now the same as FE7 and FE8.

97. The Chapter 8 convo events with Lilina can now be started by Bors, Barth, and Roy, instead of requiring Lilina to initiate them. Roy gets a rapier if he initiates the convo with Lilina, and Lilina will continue to get a thunder tome if she initiates the convo with Roy. These two are mutually exclusive.

98. bugfix, Wendy's stats are now as I intended

99. Troubadours and Valkyries are less slowed down by desert spaces.

100. bugfix, Wendy's soldier class was able to promote with a hero crest, which was not intended. She can now promote only with a knight crest.

--What's new in 1.2--

Nothing, I just fixed the 'patch from untranslated' patch so that it would actually work.

--What's new in 1.3--

101. The dev room now replaces the tutorial. You can explore it if you want, but there's not much to it, I just used it for testing certain mechanics and sprites.

102-103. The Orion's bolt has been renamed the Power Bolt. It now promotes thieves along with bow units, instead of Knight Crests (as in previous updates). The vassal badge has been returned to its original Knight Crest name and description. The Knight Crest I gave to Cath during her third appearance is now a Power Bolt. The Knight Crest I gave to Barth was removed, but Shin was given a Power Bolt in his joining chapter. Wendy still promotes with the Knight Crest.

104-105. Firebrand haulover, also fixed a visual bug in the process. Firebrands now look like FE7 Assassins. Promotion bonuses for thieves were increased. There are still small visual bugs during battle animations with Firebrands, (i.e. their headband reappearing after attacking,) but I don't know how to fix them, and they're too small for the effort.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's all of the important stuff. There were a few other miscellaneous stuff I did that I didn't mention, but they're not nearly as important.

This mod was made possible thanks to the following:

FEBuilderGBA, the primary software I used.
Nightmare, the secondary software I used.
Windhex, the hex editor I used.
Blazer's Ultimate Tutorial. Still relevant, even with new software.
u/SubwayBossEmmett, as I mentioned earlier.
u/Minl_HeK, for information on bugs in the game.

And also a special thanks to you all. I know I wouldn't have continued to update this, or work on my upcoming FE7 mod, without outside support.
