Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
Chono Trigger Devolution V 1.00 ================================ Contents: 1) How to Patch to ROM 2) Bugs/Limitations 3) Credits -------------------------------- 1) HOW TO PATCH TO ROM -------------------------------- *If using SNES Emulator... 1) move the .ips file into the same folder as the Chrono Trigger ROM. 2) rename the Chrono Trigger Devolution.ips file. Name it "Chrono Trigger.ips" (or rather, name it the exact same thing as the ROM, except with an .ips extension) *If using a different emulator... Download freeware like "Lunar IPS" and let it patch the ROM for you. Very easy to do. ------------------------------- 2) BUGS/LIMITATIONS ------------------------------- - No text will display when certain items are received. (only affects roughly 4 specific item pickups) - Text appears garbled when receiving money from chests (correct amount still displays, however) - The names of spell/techniques do not display when you learn them after a battle. You are still informed which character learned a spell, but without being told the spell name. - Very, very occasionally a dialog box may hang for longer than intended. ------------------------------ 3) Credits ------------------------------ Patch created by Cardboard Square, 08-20-2013 Created using "ChronoTriggerTexteditor" by Manknight
