Toki / JuJu Densetsu arcade style colorsDescription

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

Toki/JuJu Densetsu arcade style colors IPS patch version 1.00
31st March 2017
by fusaru
made with HivePAL

==Purpose of the patch==
Modifies palettes so the game looks closer to the arcade version.
If you have the Japanese version, use the "juju" patch, of you have the US/Europe version, use the "toki" patch.

==Usage==
Apply the included IPS file to the ROM (e.g. via Retron 5, Cybergadet Retrofreak, dedicated program such as "StealthPatch IPS Patcher").
If you get a red screen, the checksum needs to be fixed. Programs such as ESE FixCheckSum can do this for you.

==Notes==
*For other HivePAL users: most palettes are located around 1298
*The game makes heavy use of shared palettes, e.g. world 1,2,7 and 9 use the same background palette. Same goes for many enemies. This was often done in such a way that fixing one appearance will break another one's (e.g. big monkey head and winged monkey). A workaround would require working out how the game assigns palettes and add further palettes.
*The game seems to use some kind of watchdog mechanism that halts the game if it finds the rom has been tampered with too much and also uses an undocumented compression mechanism. Pretty much all sprites aside from Toki and a few objects and minor enemies are fully compressed. For deeper graphical modifications, writing a decompresser and disabling this watchdog seems mandatory.
*Despite the 4 Megabit rom size, the game contains large empty sections.

==Legal stuff==
Aside from making repros and/or money out of this do whatever you want with these files.
