*** Introduction ***

Thanks for downloading my patch! Here's a shortlist of the modifications I've
made to the original game, to make it as close as possibile to a licensed 
product:

- All the drivers names and nationalities have been corrected to match the 
drivers that competed in the 1991 F1 season. In some cases there was no certain
correspondence between the "fake" driver and its real-world counterpart (more
than once, the game was plainly wrong), so I had to make some compromises.
See fullchanges.txt for details.
- All the team names and attributes (chassis/engine) have been fixed, and the
liveries have been tweaked to resemble the originals as much as possibile.
- All the team badges (shown during pitstops) have been replaced with new ones,
drawn from scratch.
- The drivers portraits have been replaced with new pictures, converted from
photographs.
- The liveries of rival cars in SennaGP / World Championship Beginner / Practice
have been fixed.
- All the textboxes have been corrected to use the original team names.



*** Legal Disclaimer / No Warranty ***

The provided patch, stand-alone, has no use - it must be applied to the ROM dump
of the commercial game "Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II", which is no longer
available for purchase, but still under copyright.
Should you decide to do so, please remember that to legally keep a ROM dump you
must also own the original game cartridge.

Since the game in question is more than 20 years old, it can only be of interest
to retro-gamers (not the general public).
The patch sole purpose is to provide a better gaming experience, it makes no
attempt to alter the original game in a way that could let it compete
commercially with contemporary, officially licensed products.
The patch is not endorsed by any of the teams/brands/personalities present
therein. No copyright infringement is intended.

The patch is completely free (as it has no commercial value) and must not be
redistributed without my explicit consent.

You decide to use the patch at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible if it
damages your roms / savegames or anything else on your computer.



*** How to install ***

1- Apply the IPS patch using your favourite patcher (I use Lunar IPS Patcher) to
the US version of the game. The original rom must have the following checksums:

CRC32:	EAC8DED6
MD5:	FAD33D8300F3AF2E1C81D74E2F37B688
SHA-1:	1EE87744D86C4BDD4958CC70D77538351AA206E6

which correspond to the rom:

"Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II (U) [!].bin" (GoodSets naming)
or
"Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II (USA) (En,Ja).md" (No-Intro naming)

2- You're ready to play! After the intro, take a look at the bottom left corner of the
main menu - if everything worked correctly, it should read "PATCH "

The next patch will include new trackside ads, based on actual brands, and some minor
 menu text changes.
