Descrição - Super Mario Bros 9th Root of 3

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

Super Mario Bros 9th Root of 3 v1.0 Readme
------------------------------------------
hack by: cuberootinbinary / binary / cube / cuberoot / binarycuberoots / cubinary / cubebinary... etc. (yeah I have a lot of good nicknames. The primary one is "binary")
------------------------------------------
part of: The 3^3^-n series
------------------------------------------
Story: When we last left off in Super Mario Bros. Cube Root of 3, Mario went through dozens of varieties of mean spirited obstacles and traps,
he got to the castle, only to realize he could not enter it himself because it was guarded by an indestructable machine of insane strength.
He also saw a message blatently placed stating it wouldn't be any use to attack the castle. Mario tried to enter the castle, but no
luck. He did however find a feather-let (get it? Nevermind) hidden within the blatent message. The so called feather-let reads
"We sure hope Mario doesn't find the power switch that moves the machine out of the way. Luckily it is well away from here under
heavy guard in the capitol city of Quartzwicherland. Meanwhile you folks start preparing to go and guard that city and paths to it in case
Mario shows some initiative to look for the power switch. Oh I love the shiny look of quartz switches." and Mario goes to find Quartzwicherland.
Appearently there is a hidden path nearby that is no longer that because Mario found it. Anyway Mario goes through the path and he learns that
7 kings are loyal to the Quartzwicherland leader and have prepared even more types of mean spirited traps and obstacles for him. Mario also
learns each king has a pet turtle, and if Mario brings news to the kings about the turtles' fates, the kings would feel like Mario has overcome
them, they may just tell him where to go, or give him someone's letters or something. Anyway Mario is off to press the quartz power switch in
the heavily guarded city of Quartzwicherland. Best of luck.
-----------------------------------------
Worlds: Mario has about 8 (well exactly 8) areas to go to. The first 7 belong to the 7 loyal kings and the last one belongs to the capitol city leader.
Here is a description of each of them.
          -World 1: StrangeAmusement
This area is perhaps not the most amusing area if one is going to relax. Of course it may feel like it if one tries to goes past it to harder areas.
          -World 2: Aqua Sands
What? Is this a teal colored desert? I didn't think they had a place here. Anyway there is a rumor that it houses some powerful shoes. Wonder what
            that is about.
          -World 3: SMB TuJaVu
Looks oddly familiar yet oddly different in the same breath. Watch out here or it'll really be confusing and or deadly and or both.
          -World 4: ObservationForce
Looks like a normal go through area and get past it. Anyway there's something about certain ships and tanks in the distance that doesn't feel right.
Whatever they are, they look a bit too armed and confrontation should be avoided.
          -World 5: The 4 Quadrants.
This area is divided into 4 parts, each with a unique characteristic. The 4 areas are as follows:
              >Quadrant 1> Ice Block Storage
                >> This quadrant has an awful lot of ice blocks. Wonder why.
              >Quadrant 2> Retro Grid Land
                >> Here is a grid of places. Don't most of these ring a recent bell?
              >Quadrant 3> East Weather Simulator
                >> What is going on? Looks like they are running mass scale weather simulations here or something.
              >Quadrant 4> West Weather Simulator
                >> Looks like more mass weather simulations. These guys want to control the weather or something.
          -World 6: Docsigmair 1
An icy air base belonging to docsigma and what are those things? Chunks of ice with propellors? Frozen airships? I'm not sure. I am sure they are
            moving fast.
          -World 7: The Golden Trifecta
Some familiar superstitious figures pop up in subtle ways. Probably not amongst the most friendly of areas.
One thing's for sure. The area looks rather gold to me.
          -World 8: Quartzwicherland
Ah yes. The place mario is heading towards to press the power switch made from pure elemental quartz. The peoples there are extremely determined
to stop mario from pressing the quartz power switch. Within Quartzwicherland is the 4 Quartz Palace
which is extremely dangerous to navigate through.

Special thanks to:
QuickCurly: This guy got me motivated to work on SMB3 hacks like this one. He also helped encourage me about some editing things I would have otherwise been too timid to try on my own. (on youtube he is qu1ckcur1y)
Blazzerdragon: He made an entire youtube playthrough of Super Mario Bros Cube Root of 3 which helped motivate me to work on a sequel.
Newfiebangaa: Like Blazzerdragon, he also made an extensive playthrough of Cube Root of 3 that was almost completed. It broke down in the last world though.
Docsigma: Why he is in here? He LPed Ultimate SMB3 which inspired blazzer and newfie (above) to LP Ultimate SMB3 as well.
This gave me a perspective on how easy it is compared to Cube Root of 3 and it is indeed easy.
Doc has no intension on playing Cube Root of 3 soon, although he did try and it was too tough for him even in world 1 so he didn't play it.
He did however experience it vicariously through Blazzer's playthrough of it and he thought it looked relatively nice compared to Ultimate. He thought some of the ideas were clever too.
He also has a weakness for Kuribo's Shoe that inspired a level in world 2 and an entire world 6 is dedicated to him as well (world 6 dedication not related to footwear).
Retrojuegoschile: The one that sort of started it all in terms of having many others want to play Cube Root of 3 hence the increase in demand. He also wants to try 9th Root of 3 the last I checked.
dbzisdakrunk: We talked about how extremely hard it is.

Well anyway overall, this SMB3 hack has over 100 levels according to my count.

This hack has some stuff changed unlike in Cube Root of 3 such as a flashy title screen, edited text, and more widespread edited graphics.

The hack is supposed to be harder than Cube Root of 3 and will impliment more things such as thematic scenerys and such.

Of course what SMB3 hack is complete without widespread palette swipes? This has plenty of flashy palette swipes pretty much everywhere.
Cube Root of 3 had some, but after looking back, that department left more to be desired than first thought especially in even numbered worlds.
Probably because I was timid in certain parts at first.

#^(1/9)=(#^(1/3))^(1/3) and I think you may or may not know what this means. Basically it means the 9th root of a number is the cube root of the cube root of a number (hey! The # and the 3 share the same key! Neat.).

Anyway enjoy. Oh... I almost forgot. To blazzer and those wanting the ending, the ending has to do with pressing a bunch of normal p-switches in near unison in the final castle looking level in world 8 just in case you're wondering.
It may not be the most stereotypical ending, but oh well... one has to "get back to the castle in Cube Root of 3" for it to be series like, right?
