Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
+------------------------------+ | Metroid Zero Mission - NoMap | +------------------------------+ May 16, 2011 - v1.0 Initial release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This series of patches hides all automap features from the games, providing a challenge to the player, and a greater sense of exploration that's been absent since the first two Metroids. Without "Adam" or the Chozo pinpointing your next destination, you're free to (re)discover the games on your own terms. For those who aren't feeling up to the challenge, a "Lite" version of the patch is included which only disables the hidden item location markers. Note: The map room will usually bring up garbage data. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm going to assume you know how to use IPS patches. I'm also going to assume you know how to obtain a ROM to patch. Please don't ask me. Patches are only included for U ROMs. I might do the other regions later, if there's any requests. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special thanks/programs used: Mat for GBA MultiDeCompressor JASC's ever-useful Paint Shop Pro 3.12 MrClick's TilEd Bruno Costa's Fatilety Tenchi's ips XP VBA team for VisualBoy Advance and Nintendo, of course ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ lordasaki (at) hotmail (dot) com
