Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

# Download the IPS (at the end of this post).
# Download a software to expand your EarthBound ROM to 32Mbit (4 MB), I recommend using CoilSnake's implemented ROM Expander.
# Using CoilSnake, go to Tools > Expand ROM to 32 Mbits and select your ROM to expand.
# Once the ROM is expanded, apply the IPS patch using Lunar IPS.

This is it!
-Finally got the Animated Title Screen working. Fixed a pointer in the HEX code of the ROM to point in the right address to fix it.
-Also this version has some minor text changes (grammatical errors fixed).
-Fourside Tokyo Restaurant NPC linebreak fixed, and changed a sign's text in Threek.
-Fixed two odd linebreaks in Onett.
-Forgot to change the Twoson Map Sign to read Threek instead of Threed. Whooops... :P
-Fixed two broken Yes/No options due to a problem with CCScript Writer decompilation.
-Fixed a wrong name call for Ness in Porky's text after beating Carpainter.
-Fixed a wrong dot being written instead of a comma, re-wrote a sentence in Porky's text and an odd linebreak when he talks to you after rescuing Paula from the Cabin.
-Removed a duplicated word in a text in Scaraba.
-Finally implemented a proper Run Button patch, no more Burnt Sprites or Andonaut's Lab glitches!
-Double space in one battle text fix and some text clean up.
-Fixed a text overflow in Gourmet tofu machine's text, reworked Credit sequence font to be standard and did some ASM code clean up for the Run code.
-Restored God references.
-Added new line of text for a NPC in Fourside when Everdred is on the ground.
-Fixed a weird linebreak in a monkey's text from the Monkey Caves.
-Reworked vehicle sprites to have readable text and not mirrored text as the original game sprites.
-Rewrote one line that I somehow missed during the initial stages of the hack. (It was just below a line I edited. lol)
-Fixed odd linebreak in Poo's text when he joins the party.
-Fixed overflowed text in one item description.
-Fixed the "aroud" typo in the Bike Shop and "Long time, no see" grammatical error near Summers/Dalaam.
-Fixed a wrong text at the ending of the game pointed out by Tomato in http://legendsoflocalization.com/earthbound/ending/#scaraba-huh.
-Also, changed a literal japanese joke that found its way in the original EB.
-Fixed yet again the Scaraba news text, it should work properly now.
-Fixed yet another typo carried over from the original EarthBound ROM, and also added a text call that CCScript Writter doesn't decompile when you get on the Runaway Five tour bus in Fourside to Threed. (Thanks again, Tragic Manner!)
-Implemented a new Nude Ness Sprite and also changed the palette for Starman Junior to match that of the Starman Junior in MOTHER 1, which is supposed to be of a pinkish colour.
-Some more typos and grammatical mistaked I found while going through the script again for the EarthBound spanish translation.
-This should be one of the last updates.
After going through all of the CCS files for the EB Spanish translation, I found a lot of typos and double spaces that should be there, along with some special characters that create text overflows.
They should all be fixed now, and the hack's OP has been updated with the list of typos I've found so far.
-LAST MATERNALBOUND UPDATE!
Thanks to the update of CoilSnake 2.3.1 by MrTenda, the compilation process now fixes th purple-ish blocks in the maps of Onett and Twoson.
The hack should now be 100% bug/glitch-free! :D
-VERY LAST UPDATE! (I swear!)
Changed "Poo's master" in the Cast credits to "Yi-Si-Qi" to accomodate the proper name of the character.
Translated Debug Mode options and added an option missing in the original Debug Mode.

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.5:
Changed all of Threed references (text and sprite wise) back to the original Threek since Three + Eek/Reek = Threek
Makes more sense to me. :P

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.4:
Properly set PK and PSI powers.
PSI was a mistranslation for offensive powers, so now all the psychic attacks are PK while all the others (defensive and stuff) are PSI. The menu now shows PSI again to give it consistency with Mother 1 and Mother 3.
Also, all references made within the game to Mother 2 or Mother 3 are now all in caps (i.e. MOTHER 2 / MOTHER 3).

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.3:
Some major text changes, fixed some more typos (thanks to Man Of Stars for the intensive feedback) and also fixed a bug found in the original EB game in which once you reach Milky Well and Rainy Circle, both of their melodies are swapped when you learn them, but if you play the Sound Stone they play normally.
They now play like they should according to the Sound of Stone order when you first learn them.

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.2.2:
Magicant and Saturn Valley ATMs updated to an original sprite.
This was done so that players can now tell that those objects are indeed ATMs and not just decoration.
Also, some text and grammatical errors have been fixed.
I wanted to wait until I could fix the prayer cutscene to show proper Night-time, but it is taking me a lot of time so far, so I decided to push a minimal update.

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.2:
Credits sequence edited!
Now the cast sequence finally shows Porky Minch and Runaway Bros. instead of the original ones!
Special thanks to both JeffMan and TragicManner for helping me outn on different aspects to achieve this milestone.

 * PK MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.1:
Finally finished a whole playthrough testing all the text changes and sprites I have done.
Everything seems in place and ready to go.
I also fixed some kind of bug that CoilSnake dragged from the text dump of the script and some other text glitches here and there.
Also, revamped some text that I felt still needed work. like linebreaks and stuff like that.

Major update! Gas Station added, added music notes to certain text, Threed's Hidden NPC's restored, and Run Button and Mother 2 Title Screen optional patches included.

 * PK MaternalBound Gamma v1.2:
Sprites, tiles and text are now complete! Fixed an in-game typo that I missed and added a custom Nude Ness sprite for Magicant (No red cap anymore, completely nude from head to toes!)

 * PK MaternalBound Beta v1.1:
All the sprites, tiles and text up to Dungeon Master (before Deep Darkness) edited.

 * PK MaternalBound Alpha v1.0:
Tiles, sprites and text up to the Monkey Caves edited.

----Inside the "Optional Patches"
 * MaternalBound Sigma v1.3.2 (Mother 2 Title Screen).ips - IPS patch which changes the EarthBound title screen for that of Mother 2. Thanks to MightyYT for his hack which help make this possible.
 * Run Button - This allows you to press the Y button to run as if you were eating a Skip Sandwich.
No more slow walking!

|||||||||Known Bugs/Glitches:

 *Mother 2 Title Screen Glitch:*
This one is well-known and is carried over from MigthyYT's original TS hacks.
If you press a button before the "demo" plays right after the Title Screen, the game will crash out on you, only a hard reset will help you here.
Only way to avoid this is to wait for the game to completely finish the introduction sequence until you see the demo play (with Ness and friends walking around), only THEN you are safe to press any button to bring up the Save/Load screen.
Starmen.net user H.S. found a way to implement a custom title screen without this glitch.
Although, this was done at the cost of no animated title screen, meaning you will only get a static image when after the Gas Station screen. This is yet to be implemented.

 *Run Button Glitch:*
When using Teleport Alpha and you bump into a building or any other collision location, the sprite for the burned Characters appear for a brief split second, then the sprite switches to that of the walking animation and stays in place. If someone can tell me how to fix it, I'll be grateful!
H.S. explained that this bug occurs due to the Run Button Patch.
"The game uses the same byte to keep track of your party\92s \93state\94, which includes the running state, and the burnt state."
That means that I will include the Run Button Patch as an optional patch to avoid this bug/glitch from the main hack. You are free to use it if you can overcome just that little hunka junk.
