Thousand-Year Door+ について

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

Thousand-Year Door+ 説明書

Hello! I'm Griscuit, and this is version 4.0 of Thousand-Year Door+. Before you start grabbing at the files, please give this document a read.

To use this mod, you're going to need three things:

An NTSC iso of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (find this by your own means). Note that you'll need the 1.35GB version of the iso.

An up-to-date version of the Dolphin emulator: https://dolphin-emu.org/

And Delta Patcher, which is included in this zip!

There are three versions of this mod to choose from ? the basic, no-frills mod brings things closer to the Japanese release and fixes various goofs from the English localization (i.e. characters changing names, enemies displaying the wrong stats, etc.) The second is the ?extra? mod. It includes everything in the base mod, as well as some fun new extras that make the game a slightly different experience. The third is the ?modern? mod. It includes all the content from the first two mods, as well as new designs for certain enemies and items that bring them more in-line with their Sticker Star / Color Splash appearance.

To see in greater detail what the different mods contain, check out the documents included in this zip.

To install this mod, you're going to want to boot up Delta Patcher, and select your unmodified TTYD iso as the "Original File". Then, choose from ?TTYD+ (basic)?, ?TTYD+ (extra)?, or ?TTYD+ (modern)?. Select this file as the "XDelta Patch". Click on "Apply Patch", and there you have it! You've got a patched iso ready to go.

If you're playing on Dolphin and want to have the full HD experience, TTYD+ is fully compatible with Invader's HD Thousand-Year Door texture pack, which can be found here:
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-paper-mario-ttyd-hd-texture-pack-v0-9b-december-4-2016

Do note that the HD pack is still a work-in-progress, and as such does not replace all of the game's textures yet. To use TTYD+ in conjunction with the HD pack, there are a few extra steps to take:

First, download the latest version of Invader's texture pack. You'll see a folder called ?G8M? in there. Move the ?HD Textures? folder included in this .zip into G8M. While this includes textures for all three versions of this mod, the game will only load textures for the mod you're currently playing -- so if, for instance, you're playing the Basic version, you don't have to worry about textures from the Extra or Modern versions showing up.

Next, go into your Documents, and select the ?Dolphin Emulator? folder. Dolphin creates this folder when it's first booted up. Go into the ?Load? folder, and move G8M into it. That's that! The final thing you have to do is boot up Dolphin, go into ?Graphics Settings?, select the ?Advanced? tab, and turn on ?Load Custom Textures? Now you're ready to play!

VERSION 4.0 CHANGELOG:

ALL VERSIONS:
- The final RDM email originally contained a secret section at the bottom if you keep scrolling past the end! This was removed from the English release, but has now been restored.

- Gob the Bob-omb normally speaks in a Russian accent, like the other Fahr Outpost Bob-ombs, but this speech pattern was erroneously missing in his email to Mario. The email has been slightly rewritten to match his normal way of speaking.

- Koopook's email in the Japanese release referenced the Crystal Palace from Paper Mario 64. This was changed to ?Goomstar Temple? in the English version. The reference to the Crystal Palace has been restored.

- In the English release, characters refer to locations called ?Mushville? and ?Mushroom Town?. These were originally references to Toad Town, from Paper Mario 64. The Toad Town references have been restored.

- Lahla refers to herself as a ?bunny Boo?, rather than a ?kitty Boo?.

- Another reference to alcohol has been restored.

- The Point Swap description originally states that it only works on partners, which is not the case. This has been fixed.

- The Feeling Fine and Feeling Fine P descriptions originally state that they protect against poisoning and dizziness, when in fact, they prevent far more status effects than just that. Their descriptions have been rewritten appropriately.

- When re-entering the Glitz Pit later in the game, partners who were not present during Chapter 3 speak as though they'd fought in the Pit before. Their dialogue has been changed to reflect this being their first time there.

- Previous versions of the mod renamed Jolene's brother Mush to ?Banali T.?, his name from the French version. In retrospect, this seemed like an unnecessary change, so his name has been reverted to ?Mush?.

- Minor grammatical, spelling, and formatting fixes

EXTRA AND MODERN MOD:
- Pungry the Puni shares the same sprite as the Mover in the Pit of 100 Trials, yet no dialogue in the game ever connects the two. I've added some extra text to Pungry's Tattle, referencing his job as a Mover.

- In Chapter 7, Bobbery reveals that he's been to Fahr Outpost in the past, yet in some of his previous dialogue, he acts as though he's unfamiliar with the place. For consistency's sake, his earlier dialogue has been slightly rewritten to reflect him having been there before.

- Vivian now refers to Grodus by name, rather than just calling him ?the X-Naut boss?.

MODERN MOD ONLY:
- Cheep-Cheeps and Chain-Chomps are now called ?Cheep Cheeps? and ?Chain Chomps?, bringing them in-line with how the modern Mario games spell them.

HD TEXTURE PACK:
- More textures have been added. (Thanks to Repiteo for contributing to these!)

Thank you for reading all the way through this, and I hope you enjoy this mod! I'd also like to express my dearest thanks to Games Repainted, who discovered how to mod this game's text files. Check out their Thousand-Year Door Repainted stream, and download their Repainted texture pack if you like what you see!

Additional thanks to Imaynotbehere4long and Balmz for playtesting and suggesting improvements. If you discover any oddities with the mod (or if you have any suggestions for future versions) send me an email at [email protected]. Feedback is very much appreciated!
