Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
Ninja Gaiden III - Restored PLUS By: Binarynova ROM Info: Name: Ninja Gaiden III - The Ancient Ship of Doom (USA) CRC32: BABD39FA MD5: 569B3382638A1C9094E2C40B35F359C7 SHA-1: 3F2E6DAC76BA14EFC177B5653AB043E53A04D365 Description: This hack is an addendum to the "Ninja Gaiden III - Restored" hack. MottZilla's hack did a lot to revert the changes of the U.S. version of Ninja Gaiden III, but it left a few things intact and this patch aims to revert those as well. MottZilla's original hack fixes enemy damage, unlimited continues, and adds a new password system to match the Famicom release. This patch focuses on a few additional changes, namely: - The enemy spawn and item pickup locations, counts, and types have been changed to match the Famicom version. - Ryu now respawns at the beginning of the stage he died on, to match the Famicom. - Spikes and quicksand now do 3 bars of damage (more information on this in the readme.txt). This hack can be used alone, but is intended to be used with MottZilla's "Restored" hack. Doing so is about as close as you can get to playing the original Famicom version of the game as intended with the official English script. Enjoy! Regarding Quicksand Damage -------------------------- Strictly speaking the quicksand damage does NOT match the original game. On Famicom, quicksand doesn't do any damage. Ryu just falls off the map after his head goes under. The changes made to the U.S. release are fairly extensive and would require changing the map to remove newly added platforms under the quicksand, making Ryu fall only after his head goes under (not his waist), and bypassing the damage being done by the quicksand. Reducing the spike damage to 3 (to match the Famicom) also happened to reduce the damage done by quicksand. This makes it much more possible to pick up the 1-Up hidden in the quicksand.
