Descrizione Super Castlevania 2

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

 	    started 7/9/97

Remember the hours you spent on the original? Do it again
with new colors, graphics, text, and characters! You will
find characters and enemies from games like SUPER MARIO
BROS. 1, 2, 3, METROID, RIVER CITY RANSOM, ZELDA II,
KID ICARUS, MEGA MAN 2, and even KIRBY!

WHAT'S NEW: (as of 2/22/98) ***complete list below***

*****************************************************************
*** New in Version 0.9 :

1.) New endings! All three endings have been completely re-written
and Simon has been given his new clothes, as well as a
little muscle! Thanks go to my brother, Mike, for help with
    the new endings.

2.) Three new save states have been included in the zip file, each
taking you to one of the three endings. If you don't want to
blow the surprise, don't use them! Their extensions are
.st1 .st2 and .st3 ; so be careful not to write over valuable
save states when unzipping the file.

3.) The colors that changed in the newer version of Nesticle(v0.43)
have been changed again to look much better.

4.) Opening of the Super CastleVania 2 homepage! If you didn't get
this file from there, go there and check it out:

    http://www.aero.und.edu/~wahl/scv2/scv2.html

If you did get this file from there, let me know what you think
of my page. I would really appreciate feedback.

*****************************************************************
*** New in Version 0.8 :

1.) Code screen in now usable! Yes, finally a Castlevania 2
ROM on the net that you can use codes with without a
lot of problems! I still had to improvise a little
bit, but it is very understandable. E-mail me if you
      have any questions.

*****************************************************************
*** New in Version 0.7 :

1.) NEW ENEMIES: Mega Man 2: Dr. Wily
SMB3: Larry Koopa, Chain Chomps & a Boomerang Bro.
		SMB1: Koopa Troopa (turtle)
		SMB2: Shyguy & Key Guardian
2.) NEW CHARACTER: a Fighter from Final Fantasy as the
   ferry man.
3.) The small hearts you collect from enemies are now
rubies from Zelda and the larger hearts are the bags
   from Zelda 2.
4.) Those boring blocks that you walk on are all changed
to rocks, blocks, tiles, etc. from games like SMB3,
Blaster Master, SMB2, Zelda 2, etc. You are also now
able to tell the difference between regular blocks and
those that you can break with the holy water.
5.) Mario gives you a vegetable from SMB2 instead of a
   Red Crystal.
6.) Many color changes
7.) Text changes in the first western town.

	***SPECIAL!!!***
1.) I have included two save files, entitled "supercv2.st1"
& "supercv2.st2." Put them in the same directory as
NESTICLE(or what ever your save directory may be) and
they will take you directly to Dr. Wily and
the Key Guardian so you can have a look at them without
having to play the whole game through (even though it is
much more fun if you do find them on your own - so use them
   as you will!).

            ****** PLEASE READ (2/22/98)******
--------------------------------------------------------------------
To all of you who have e-mailed me and told me that you like
my hack or had an idea for me, I thank you very much. It is for
people like you that I am doing this, and I really appreciate the
feedback. Please don't stop e-mailing me and letting me know what
you think; whether it be good or bad.
And to all of you who haven't e-mailed me, that's fine too.
I won't sit here and tell you that you must send something to me
or let me know if you played my hack. I have no right to force you
to do anything, and I only hope that you enjoy my game.
But if you think I have done a good job so far and would
like this hack to continue, I encourage you to drop me a short
e-mail. Just a short note telling me what you liked or what you
would like to see in the next version is all I'm asking for.
I'm not asking for money or fame, just a little encouragement!

Fairly complete listing of edits so far:

	"CHARACTERS AND ENEMIES"
1.) Completely new look for Simon. I gave him clothes that
look like the guy in "Super Castlevania IV." He also
has a bandana and long hair that even flips up in the
   back on his whip follow-through.
2.) Mario, Luigi, and Toad from "Super Mario Bros. 2" show up!
3.) Samus from "Metroid" shows up in the church to give Simon energy.
4.) Kirby also makes a guest appearence.
5.) Alex and Ryan from "River City Ransom" show up to sell Simon
	weapons and items.
6.) Kid Icarus shows up in the basement of the third town.
7.) Link shows up in the cemetaries.
8.) A Fighter from Final Fantasy replaces the ferry man.
9.) Many new enemies. These include:
from..	SMB2: Birdo, Shyguy, and the Key Guardian.
	Kid Icarus: Egg Plant Wizard.
	Metroid: Ridley and the Metroids.
Zelda II: the Iron Knights, Goblins, spiders, and bats.
Mega Man II: Dr. Wily and the tall square dude with eyes.
SMB3: Larry Koopa, Chain Chomp, and a Boomerang Bro.
	SMB1: Koopa Troopa (turtle)
10.) Sonic the Hedgehog makes a "guest" appearance in the
   Mansions.

	"GRAPHIC EDITS"
1.) The small hearts you collect from enemies are now
rubies from Zelda and the larger hearts are the bags
   from Zelda 2.
2.) Those boring blocks that you walk on are changed to
rocks, blocks, tiles, etc. from games like SMB3,
Blaster Master, SMB2, Zelda 2, etc. You are also now
able to tell the difference between regular blocks and
those that you can break with the holy water.
3.) White Crystal changed to Brass Knuckles from RCR.
4.) Mario gives you a Mushroom instead of a Blue Crystal,
and a Vegetable from SMB2 instead of a Red Crystal.
5.) Knives changed to look like Link's sword in Zelda 2.
6.) Dracula's heart is replaced with his rotten, blood
   drenched tooth.
7.) The laurels that make you invincible are replaced
with stars from any of the Super Mario Bros. games.
8.) The Konami emblem on the title screen is replaced with the
   "Super Castlevania II" emblem.
9.) All letters have a shadowed look to them.
10.) The rib also has a new look on the action screen.
11.) The windows in the towns look cooler.
12.) There are now steps up to the doors in the towns.
13.) The cross above the church is changed to an Energy
   Tank from Metroid.
14.) Colors fixed for Nesticle v.0.43

	"TEXT EDITS"
1.) All three endings are changed!
2.) Fixed the garble on the start screen and code screen and
     made the code screen usable!
3.) All text east of the first town is changed as well as
the first western town. (humorous things like silly
     one-liners and deep thoughts)
4.) The main screen has a new look including a version
     counter.
5.) The story is completely different.
6.) After you hit "start," it says "START NOW" instead of
"GAME START" and "USE CODE" instead of "PASSWORD." I
have also given credit to Konami and myself while
keeping with the movie theme that occurs in the first
three Nintendo Castlevania games in the opening
     screens.
7.) When you start a new game it says "GET READY" instead
of "GAME START" and "LIVES" instead of "PLAYER."
8.) New text for starting night and day sequences.
9.) Other little things like "LTHR W." instead of "L. WHIP" and such.
