Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne - Hardtype Created by Zombero This hack is intended to create a more balanced and challenging version of the original game while also adding some new skills, enemies, and features into the mix. WARNING: this patch will overwrite the original file, so save a backup of the ROM if you want one To apply the patch: -run DeltaPatcherLite.exe -select an unmodified ROM of Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne as the "original file" (MUST BE UNMODIFIED) -select "SMT Nocturne - Hardtype v1.0.xdelta" as the XDelta patch -click "Apply patch" The process may take several minutes to complete. Afterwards, just play the ROM as normal. PCSX2 tips: As of version 1.4.0, PCSX2 still has issues with transparencies when running SMT: Nocturne using hardware rendering. There are two possible solutions to this: 1) Select an .iso of the original game and do a full reboot (System > Boot CDVD (full)) then immediately change the .iso file to the hack (CDVD > Iso selector) choose "Swap Disc" when prompted. This will cause PCSX2 to treat the hack as the original game and apply its own fixes to the transparencies. These fixes do not perfectly emulate the original game, but work pretty well. 2) Goto Config > Video (GS) > Plugin Settings. Then from the Renderer drop down menu, choose the newest form of Direct3D available along with "(Software)". This solution can use a lot of system resources, and software rendering cannot render in HD.
