Descrizione Final Fantasy III - Job System Improvement

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

This is an expansion of my previous version of the hack: FF3 - Free Jobs. That title was pretty boring and not really descriptive. Even this title "Job Menu Improvement" doesn't really cover everything that's changed. So let's just get to it.

This is meant to be used with the AWJ(Alex W. Jackson/Neill Corlett, SoM2Freak) fan translation. Mostly likely other parts of it can be used with other versions. YMMV.

What They Do
------------
FF3 - Job Change Removes Equipment Automatically
------------------------------------------------
In the original game the best case scenario is you remember to remove your gear, then you go to the Job menu and change jobs, then you go back to the Equip menu to put on new gear. That's over a dozen inputs. And that's best case scenario. Usually I forget to remove equipment first. So worst case scenario you go to pick a job first, get the error message, and THEN go through the best case scenario. Crazy.

This patch:
- Gets rid of the "Removed" message when you remove a character's equipment.
- Automatically un-equips a character's gear when you choose a new job.
- Double-checks that all your gear was removed before switching your job. If your inventory is full you'll get the standard "You must remove equipment..." message and your job won't change.
- Gets rid of the Yes/No prompt when choosing a job.

So now best case scenario you can go straight to the Job menu, choose your job, and then go put on new equipment. And for the worst case scenario your inventory has to be so full that the equipment can't be removed. Fewer prompts, fewer steps. Yay!

FF3 - Job CP Costs Removed
--------------------------
Final Fantasy III was Squaresoft's first attempt at a dynamic job system. And our first attempt at something is not usually our best. The game gives you this dynamic job system and then locks you into grinding CP to experiement with jobs. And THEN forces you into certain jobs at various times in the game.

This patch:
- Makes changing jobs cost 0 CP.
- Removes the "Gained CP" message at the end of battle.
- Removes the "# CP" window from the Main Menu and from the Job Menu.

Change jobs at will! Play around! Experiment! Enjoy this more open version of the Job System.

FF3 - Replace CP Cost with Job Level
------------------------------------
The original Japanese version had enough room on the Job menu to show both your Job levels and how many CP you needed to spend to switch jobs. Well that CP cost is irrelevant now. So if you're playing the AWJ translation you can use this patch to change it.

This patch:
- Removes the CP Costs listed on the Job menu and shows the Job Skill Level instead.

How Do I Use These?
-------------------
You'll need an IPS patcher to apply this to your ROM. I suggest Lunar IPS.
