*The Game*

It has been many years since Link to the Past and Ganon is back to evil. Link is not around to save the day. So, a new hero has to emerge. This hero is the unlikely Ash from the Evil Dead series. With his witty humor Ash must fight through dungeons that have been upgraded by Ganon. With new tricks up his sleeve Ash searches Hyrule for items lost long ago. With New puzzles and harder bosses Ash has a lot to go against to finally be the one to bring peace to Hyrule forever. This game is meant to extend and merge both fanchises and at the same time be a little bit of a spoof.

*Important game notes*
 
1) There is mature language in the game, not meant for 8 year olds
2) There are new moves/tricks in the game that were there but not used in the original game. Pay attention there are hints to help you.
3) some items are not in the game so pay attention to what people say.

*Patching Rom*

1) This readme should have come bundled with the ips patch file for the game
2) Download Lunar ips patcher executable
         you can get it here- http://www.romhacking.net/utils/240/
3) Find original rom file to patch
         Here is some info on the file I used: 
               File Name: Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (U) [!].smc
               File size: 1.00 MB (1,048,576 bytes)
               File Modified time stamp(though it doesn't matter):  August 23, 2004, 9:27:42 PM
4) Make a backup copy of patch file and the original rom just in case
5) unzip and Open Lunar IPS.exe
6) Click Apply IPS Patch
7) Find the ips patch file for the game
         (version may change)File name is: Bruce Campbell Vs Ganon (V1.0).ips
8) click open
9) Find original rom (if you found exact file it will be named Legend of Zelda, The - A 
   Link to the Past (U) [!].smc)
10) click open
11) You should get a pop up that says file patched (this actually just means the file you selected has been patched does not mean that it will work. The patcher can patch any file with this patch file so popup actually means process complete, hopefully you are working off the same original rom file).
12) Original file you selected is now the "Bruce Campbell vs Ganon" hacked rom so it is a fine time to rename it.

*Version history*

V 1.0 - Glitched on last boss so had to make a v1.1
v 1.1 - Gave Ash a shotgun holster to make him more ash like, changed bomerang, 
        hookshot, heart, and hammer graphics. Fixed some of the major bugs in 
        the game (it is beatable again). Re-inserted Bomerang upgrade fairy and
        shield 3.
v 1.5 - Holes no longer lead to bug world (unless you're stupid enough to fall
        down the very first hole in Ash's house when you first start a new game,
        in which case, reset).
      - No more annoying telepathic message.
      - Con's "Random Treasure" patch added and altered ever so slightly. Now
        you can dig up random shit like hearts, magic, rupees in theoverworld
        once you get the shovel. Isn't that nice of us?
      - Link sprite reverted back to original.
      - Pegasus upgrade patch applied (change directions when running)
      - Other minor graphical improvements.
      - Death counter fix patch applied
