Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
Version 1.0 March 4, 2007(Release Date) Version 1.9 March 15, 2007(Last Update) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Zelda II - The Adventure of Link "Part 3" by Ice Penguin -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Table of contents: -About the Hack- -Updates- -Contact Info- -Credits- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -About the Hack- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone. This is my second Zelda II hack!:) This time around, things won't be so difficult. Unlike "Part 2", I made the levels a lot easier to explore, but just so you know, I would never make it TOO easy.;) As for enemy placement, I pretty much left that the same. There will be a couple instances where it is different. Also, I only gave a FEW monsters a ton of HP. Not all of them, like before. The Easy version is what you'll want to play. It's the main release. The Hard version has a very weak sword until you raise it to level 8. And I mean WEAK! That is the only difference. You might also notice the GFX are still the same... I like the Zelda II graphics, so deal with it.:P (Besides, I'm not very good at GFX editing) There are A LOT of changes I made to the game, but there are 2 "little" changes that will make it more challenging. Not a "ITS IMPOSSIBLE" challenging, but a "MAN, I HAVE TO WORK FOR SOMETHING" challenging. You will notice BOTH of them when you start playing the hack. Well, that is all. Enjoy the hack, and have fun. >_> -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Updates- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 It's a very small update, but there were a few text errors that were missed. They are fixed. 1.2 There was major bug in East Hyrule. After exiting a certain cave, you would get stuck in a mountain. And also, when entering this cave, you would get damage forced upon you by a misplaced scorpion. These are now fixed. 1.3 This update fixes a lot of bugs. One was found in New Kasuto. The old lady that would come out of the house would glitch and not let enter, even though you could.:P And then there were a few more minor glitches where enemies would be stuck in the ground. And there were a few levels in East Hyrule that were changed a little bit. To make it look more natural.:) 1.4 Big update! Another case of enemies being stuck in the ground.>_> In the first palace, there was a lava pit added to the room with the Blue Ironkuckle. This way he will be easier to deal with.:) You'll understand once you see it. Also, I forgot to change Old Kasuto from the start, so that is now the way I want it. The main menu text has also been changed. Final thing for this update; I was told that the Cross was almost impossible to get, so I made that A LOT easier! But only in the Easy version.>:D 1.5 Just a couple bugs that were fixed. They were in New Kasuto and the 6th Palace. Nothing huge. 1.6 Another important update! The boss room has been changed making boss fights easier. It may not seem like it, but trust me, they will be.:) You no longer need the Jump Spell to get through the 1st Palace. (Only in the Easy Version) In the end, things are prettier.^_^ 1.7 In the last update, I ended up creating a bug.-_- And it was a cool bug too!:P Oh well, I guess it's for the best. 1.8 This is the biggest update yet! There was only one glitch that was fixed and that was in Palaces 2, 3, and 6.(Same room) But in the process of fixing it, I changed a bunch of other things!:) The end of the 6th Palace has been reworked. Before it was kind of bland, but now it is exciting and new!;) There were also a lot of minor changes here and there, nothing you will really notice. They were just things I completely forgot about! And that is all for this update. 1.9 Another glitch found.:( When you beat the 6th Palace, it would cause the overworld to glitch. I have fixed that in both versions.:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Contact Info- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have any questions or comments about my hack, please email me at: [email protected] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Credits- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ice Penguin......I made the hack. Dwedit...........He made the editor I used. If you want it, you can get it here: http://dwedit.home.comcast.net/ Ice Ranger.......He helped me find some ROM addresses that GREATLY helped the progress of my hack! Actually, this hack wouldn't be released right now without his help! This time around, I give all credit to him!:) Trax.............For a while, I put this hack to the side and lost all interest in it.:P Then I got a random PM from Trax that was about Zelda II. In short, I started working on it again.>_< BETA TESTERS.....Googie!! ocw -------------------------------------------------------------------------- All trademarks and copyrights contained in this folder are owned by their respective trademark and copyright holders.
