Description SMA4 Game Boy Player/SNES Palette Hack

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

SUPER MARIO ADVANCE 4: SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 - GAME BOY PLAYER/SNES PALETTE HACK
==============================================================================

Not much to say about this. Has been tested on USA (Rev 1) and the USA Wii U
Virtual Console versions of SMA4. Also compatible with mangaman3000's Voice
Removal patch for added SNES effect.

UPDATE: A patch for the Europe (Rev 1) game has been added.

UPDATE 2: A patch for the Japan (Rev 2) game has been added.

Unlike the other palette hacks for GBA games, where hackers had to put in the
time and dedication to restore the original SNES palettes, Super Mario Bros. 3
actually already includes the original palette, which is enabled when playing
on a Game Boy Player. This hack simply forces the GBP palette to be used at all
times.

Obviously, Super Mario Bros. 3 took the transition to GBA better than the rest
of the Super Mario Advance series, being a late-release when Nintendo
presumably expected you to have upgraded to anything but the original unlit
GBA. Still, the original palette is there, so we might as well be using it.
