Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

Obtain a legal copy of the Chrono Trigger (NTSC-USA) Super Nintendo ROM that matches the hashes above; how you do so is something that you can figure out yourself 2. Patch up with the 'Johnny Jackpot' IPS patch included in this archive using Floating IPS. 3. Finally, just copy the fully-patched ROM to a flash cart (or be a lamer and use an emulator). **PATCH DETAILS** -------------------------------------- Chrono Trigger - Johnny Jackpot v1.0 - IPS -3558 bytes -Created 21 Jul 2016 **LINKS** -------------------------------------- Floating IPS by Alero (newer than RHDN version): http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=11474 **TOOLS USED** -------------------------------------- Temporal Flux v3.01 by Geiger: http://geigercount.net/crypt/ **PATCH INFO** -------------------------------------- This patch modifies the 'racing' minigame against Johnny in the 2300 Future setting to improve rewards and make it FAR more worthwhile to bother with the racing minigame. For most playthroughs, many players tend to just skip it because the rewards you get are quickly rendered obsolete (or already put on sale by vendors). This mod aims to help keep racing fun! I spent about 20 mins editing the actual values after the initial 2 hours sitting around trying to figure out how the racing algorithms worked. To bypass the 'incorrect rewards' bug, I ended up just skipping part of the routines altogether and jumping straight to the next parts. If you want to see for yourself then feel free to open up the ROM in Temporal Flux and take a look! The minor side effect for this is that there is no seperate text box with your 2300+ point rewards (you are just told directly by RX-XR). Another side effect of this change is that there's an 'animation' skipped because of this but I was able to keep the 'item obtained' sound effect in place. Obviously if you put in the time to master the racing minigame, the rewards you get will make the game MUCH easier than intended. Just keep this in mind! If you don't want the additional rewards then you can just use the 'Racing Fixes' patch instead :) This patch NOT compatible with my 'Racing Fixes' patch! Use one or the other, NOT both as they are mutually exclusive (modify the same data in different ways)! This patch IS compatible with my 'Reptite Reshuffle' patch! It may also be compatible with other patches that do NOT modify level layout or treasures but it is up to you to do testing! -Original- All same number: Ether, Mid Ether, or Full Tonic 777 exactly: 10 Mid Ethers 1300+: 5 Mid Tonics (game states 5 Mid Ethers by mistake) 1500+: Power Tab 2000+: 5 Ethers 2300+: 5 Full Ethers (game states 5 Ethers by mistake) -Jackpot- All same number: Full Ether, HyperEther, or Full Tonic 777 exactly: 10 Elixirs 1300+: 10 HyperEthers 1500+: 1 Speed Tab 2000+: 10 Elixirs 2300+: 10 MegaElixirs (no text box or animation; only confirmation sound; fixed by bypassing incorrect textbox) **CONTACT** -------------------------------------- Please feel free to contact me via e-mail if you have any bug reports, questions, or corrections: totallyfresh+RHDN AT protonmail DOT ch **END OF FILE**
