About this patch

This patch modifies the protagonist of The Adventure of Link to a long-haired woman.

It was developed as a sequel to any of the many versions of the original Legend of Zelda that has the female BS Satellaview protagonist, however it also works as a sequel
to Zelda Starring Zelda.

V2.0 Changes:
Two .ips files now exist: Redux and Vanilla versions.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Lady Link Vanilla.ips is designed for the original USA version of the game.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Lady Link Redex.ips is designed for ShadowOne333’s excellent Zelda II Redux mod, which can be found here: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=26001.0

Vanilla Changelog:
Some sprites have been ironed out slightly.
The Get Item Sprites have been improved.
Palettes have been updated. The Shield spell now turns Lady Link a deep shade of blue. Other spells do not change her palette.

Redux Changelog:
Revility’s updated sprites have been modified to include Lady Link.
Dialogue has been changed to refer to Link as a woman (two changes).
I have kept the Redux mod as true to the original Redux as possible.

V1.0 Changes:
The sprites of the protagonist have been changed to that of a woman.
The palettes have been changed so that she now wears red, although magic spells will change this color.
Dialogue has been modified in the following ways:
References to the protagonist’s gender are changed;
Some dialogue is changed to a more sensible sentence structure;
Some dialogue is changed to make it more clear as to what the player should do, particularly dialogue referencing the "Spell" spell;
NPCs that talk about heart or magic containers now only state to go to the location of the container, not what the player will find there;
Error's name has been changed to Errol. Hopefully this is less confusing for new players.

No other changes to the map or gameplay have been made in any way.
This patch is fully compatible with other patches or gameshark codes to make the game easier by introducing more lives or experience points to the game.
