Descripción de SMW2+

Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.

I. Hack Info

SMW2+ is a hack of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. I decided to
make a hack of this game because Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite
games of all time. I started hacking YI in August 2004, when I became
a beta tester for Squash Monster's editor EggVine. Since then, I have
released 4 demos of my hack, and now this hack is finally complete!

To play this hack, patch the enclosed ips file to a fresh Yoshi's
Island ROM, but you must note, you must use Yoshi's Island v1.0(U).smc.
Other versions of the ROM will not, I repeat, will not work.

III. Known Bugs

1. In the cave part in 1-5, you may fall through the moving platforms
if you stay in that room too long.
2. Yoshi turns green when he touches the phantoms in 2-2.
3. The first two red coins in the platform ghost portion of 1-8 will
not appear if you get the 2 red coins by the flower in the first part
of this level.
4. In the dark portion of 2-8, when you come out of the pipes on the
right hand side, Yoshi will quickly appear beneath the stone ground.
5. The first pirahna plant in 3-3 doesn't spring up unless you get
really close to it.
6. Sometimes enemies will appear when approached from one direction
and disappear when approached from a different direction. If this
happens with important items, such as red coins and flowers other than
the ones listed above, or any enemies necessary for special puzzles or
purposes, let me know.

Things that seem like bugs but aren't

1. In 1-7, fat shyguys will cease to appear if you carry more than 2
giant eggs. This also occurred in the original YI.
2. At the bottom of the trees in 2-3, there is a little bit of bright
green on the grass that may look strange. This was also done in Secret
1 of the GBA version of YI.
3. In a certain part of 2-3, the pokey ball enemy stays on top of the
line guide. This may seem weird, but it was also done in Secret 1 of
the GBA version.
4. There is an error with ZSNES. Typically when you enter a new room,
the screen will start out black and all the other layers will appear.
However, in some parts there is an emulator bug that causes layer 2
to appear first instead of the black screen, followed by the remaining
layers. This occurs in rooms with fuzzies and pseudo-3D rocks. Also,
in rooms with pseudo-3D rocks, the moving rocks may flash weird
reflections of themselves. You can disable these ZSNES bugs by
disabling the new gfx engine by pressing 8. However, disabling the
engine will cause other problems, such as a thin line of BG on
the level name screens, so you pick what you'd rather have.
5. In some levels, the pirhana plants flash a brownish color when hit rather
than the usual light blue. Some levels in the original, such as 4-7
and 5-6, have the same color. This is because you need to use a
certain palette for other enemies.
6. 4-1 is named "Welcome To Paradice". I know I misspelled Paradise,
there's a reason, I'll let you figure this one out ;).

Feel free to report any bugs not listed above.
