Don’t think this is gonna be a 100% Gold Remake, it’ll have its differences. Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)
Note that the hack is incomplete but feel free to enjoy the hack as-is.
"FF++ & WoC" by Grond (initial release) >>>What this is:<<< It's my two major Final Fantasy 1 hacks, Final Fantasy ++ and FF++ World of Chaos, combined into a single ROM image with a title/game-selection screen. The versions of the hacks used are 1.5 and 1.2, respectively. >>>Instructions:<<< Locate your copies of the FF++ 1.5 and FF++WoC 1.2 ROMs. Open up FF++ in a hex editor that has copy/paste and insert/delete support (so that the size of the file can be altered). Delete the header (the first 10 hexadecimal/16 decimal bytes), and select all of the remaining 40000h bytes. Copy that data, then close that ROM out without saving. Now open WoC in the hex editor, go all the way to the end of the file, and paste in the FF++ data there after offset $40010. The ROM file should be bumped up to 80010h bytes. Next open in another hex editor window your "Final Fantasy I & II (J) [!].nes" ROM (the broken version that is missing FF2 is all right if that's what you have). Select and copy $1AD10-1C010 (1300h bytes), close that ROM out and select $2AD10-2C010 in the other ROM and paste that stuff over it. Now save it as "FF++ & WoC.nes" (or whatever) and use your IPS patching program of choice to apply the included patch to it.
