Sega 32X isn't a stand-alone gaming device. It is an additional piece of equipment for the Sega Genesis gaming system and it should increase the power of the console. The name 32X stands for the fact this system should make Sega Genesis a 32-bit device. It was revealed in 1994 as an affordable option for gamers who would like to play 32-bit games. The additional was also known as Project Mars, which was its code name and it should prolong the lifespan of Genesis console until Sega Saturn is ready. The most bizarre fact is that this addition uses its own library of games and different cartridges than Genesis. This makes them very rare and expensive if you find one. Luckily you can play Sega 32X ROMs.
In order to play the games on PC, you can download emulators such as RetroArch, OpenEmu or Kega Fusion. They will allow you to play games such as Spider-Man - Web of Fire, Star Wars Arcade, Space Harrier and many others.
