Game Gear Information

sega game gear roms Game Gear is one of the most famous 4th-generation colored portable consoles developed by Sega. The Sega Game Gear comes in a rectangular design with a larger horizontal layout. At its center lies a 3.2-inch LCD display, D-Pad on its left side, and the start button as well as the 1 and 2 buttons on it right side. The console's housing has a well-rounded design that's easy to hold with your hands.

About Sega Game Gear

Sega Game Gear was first developed in the late 1980s with the goal of creating a gaming device similar to the Game Boy console. Rather than re-invent the wheel, Sega Game Gear developers used the basic processor from the Sega Master system. The processor had an advantage - it was tested technology and therefore free of the many mistakes that usually lead to the issuing of new portable consoles.

The Sega Master system is more technically advanced than Game Boy. The console was known during it development days as "Project Mercury" and was launched in Japan in October 1990 which was a month earlier than the launch of the NEC TurboExpress.
